HP StorageWorks MSL 5026SL Tape Library is a large, rack mounted, SDLT tape library to suit the requirements of all business data backups. It offers 5.72 TB (2:1 compression) of storage, providing the highest capacity in its class in a compact 5U form factor, in tabletop or rack mount configurations. It is scalable up to seven units in a rack mount configuration to provide a maximum of 40.04 TB (2:1 compression) of data backup capacity. The internal robot changes tapes, enabling a continuous operation via the two internal SDLT drives.

Hewlett Packard StorageWorks MSL 5026SL comes with 2 x SDLT 220 Internal Tape Drives, a capacity of 2.86TB Native, 5.72TB compressed data per tape and offers a speed of 11MB/sec Native, 22MB/sec compressed per drive. Along with a media comprising 26 x Type I SDLT Tapes, the compatibility provided is Read DLT 4000, DLT 7000, DLT 8000 with an Ultra 160 SCSI (VHDCI) connection. It is compatible with a number of operating systems, software applications, and server platforms. It has a provision for plug drives for online repair and capacity expansion, without interrupting library operations for minimum downtime.
